The Florida Quest hockey program emphasizes respect, sportsmanship, and professionalism on and off the ice. A key part of our culture is teaching both coaches and players the importance of respecting referees and the vital role they play in the game.

Before every game, our coaches remind players to approach the match with integrity and respect for all officials. Players are encouraged to show good sportsmanship by greeting referees with a handshake or a nod, demonstrating their understanding of the game’s structure and rules.

After the game, whether win or lose, our players make it a priority to thank the referees. This gesture reinforces our core values of humility and respect, which we believe are just as important as their development in hockey skills. Our goal is to foster well-rounded athletes who not only excel on the ice but also carry a strong sense of sportsmanship and character throughout their lives.

Our players and coaches do not speak back to officials nor yell at their judgement. We understand the game of hockey is fast paced and errors can be made both on the bench and on the ice, it's a way of life.
